Hello, Kindergarten Griffins!
This is an exciting week ahead with our first celebration and Grandparents Day! We have a busy two months ahead of us, so please be sure to read through the blog thoroughly and make note of any important dates. We hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving, and we are so thankful for each of you and for our partnership with your family!
This Week:
Library:
No Library due to Grandparents Days.
Native American Instrument Project:
Due Tuesday, November 18th, for a history grade and will be used for the instrument parade during the celebration.
Native American Celebration will be this Thursday, 11/20. A sign up went out on 11/5 for supplies and food items needed to make the day extra special for each class. If you are donating anything, please make sure that you send the items with your child and label "Kindergarten Native American Celebration."
Any non-perishable donations may be sent in on Tuesday, November 18, and all food items should be brought the day of the celebration, November 20. Lunch will be provided through donation so please do not pack/ send a lunch on Thursday! Please use the link below for a reminder to what you may have signed up for or any last-minute needs, thank you.
As notified last week, the two homeroom volunteers have been selected with the lottery system and notified separately. If your name was not selected, we truly appreciate your willingness to help and there will be more opportunities very soon!

Grandparents Day: We look forward to welcoming our wonderful grandparents on Wednesday morning and additional details were sent by GHNO on 10/29 labeled "Grandparents Days Are Coming!" Please refer to the communication sent by the school for any additional questions.

Homework Reminders
- Be sure to read daily for 20 minutes; 80 minutes this week. Reading Logs will be collected this Friday. Please record on the Reading Log page. If you miss a night, please record 0 minutes and initial rather than leaving it blank.
- Spalding handwriting practice. Spalding homework will continue to be in the Written Phonogram and Spelling Word Review format-please read the GH logo homework sheet for instructions. Monday-Wednesday scholars write the list of phonograms and words once; on Thursday in preparation for our spelling test the list is written twice.
- Memorize poem by Friday!
